Pausetrack is a personalised health symptoms tracker designed specifically for women who are, or think they might be, in peri-menopause.
Peri-menopause is the time of up to ten years before periods stop but when symptoms start and get stronger. For many women this will start in their 40s and 50s, but for others they will be younger or older. All are welcome to use Pausetrack.
Using Pausetrack can help you to track, remember, understand and discuss what is going on in your body. Pausetrack will help you to keep a track of those symptoms so that you can make sense of them. This will also help you when you are trying to explain to others, such as the GP, what is going on for you.
Pausetrack allows you to track any and all symptoms that are relevant to you including periods, sleep, weight and the lesser known symptoms like sore breasts and vaginal itching. It is totally personalised so you can report on which symptoms are important to note. The notes feature allows you to record anything important – for example how long a hot flush lasted, or how many times you went to the loo in the night (bladder issues).
As well as tracking your symptoms you can see review them, either on a calendar, or in a reported list or graph. This can help you to visualise which times are the worst for you and might help you to predict your future health.
Pausetrack has a community section to connect you to an online group which is a safe space to share your concerns, stories and experiences with others who are in peri-menopause, or think they might be. In this section you can also access articles with information about symptoms, and articles about your most recent symptoms will be recommended to you.
There is an offers section which will link to partner organisations who have products which may support you through the menopause.
Designed by Dr. Claire Mann a health services researcher and data analyst and woman in peri-menopause. Claire designed this app after being frustrated there was nothing that could help her track the wide range of symptoms she experienced.
Claire won Ingenuity National Impact Entrepreneur and Engineers in Business Champion 2021 and in 2022 is a shortlisted finalist for Outstanding contribution to STEM (Chamber of Commerce) and ‘one to watch’ in the Social Enterprise UK awards.
